Canada- The Arctic Snows
Untouched, unknown, unseen
Bright expanse and deep blue sea
Frigid waters, crackling ice
The solitary explorer’s paradise
Rushing falls, sweeping through
Mountainous terrain, winding paths
Sprawling, white expanse, unfelt, unsaid
Desert-like dunes, seemingly dead
The death an illusion
This place is teeming with life
A living scraped off nothing
But rocks and snow, amazing
This wondrous, expansive, cleansing place
Both gentle and stern and wretched
Caressing wind, bitter cold
Sudden storms to halt the bold
This place of wonders is called home
T’is in Canada, the arctic snows
A single piece of the story we are
An experience to take one so very far
This place is placid and violent at times,
The unknown out there, in the open air
Stern, wretched, but somehow quite bold
Rushing, peaceful, bitter, caressing, cold…
